Maeve has 10 years of clinical experience as a qualified Clinical Psychologist and has come to see that relationships are central to wellbeing. For many women, this can include their relationship to their body and food. She has extensive experience in providing compassionate care to people with physical health conditions such as chronic pain and fatigue, alongside managing weight and work-related stress/burnout among individuals and staff groups.
She is passionate about supporting women to meet their needs amidst their busy roles, often giving care to friends, children, partners, work and home. You can expect specialised and effective approaches to help you:
develop health-enhancing eating habits
access resilience in times of transition (adolescence, midlife and retirement)
improve the quality ofyour relationships with close people
understand repeated, stuck patterns and how to actively move toward fulfilment and purpose
Maeve's approach is to empower clients using evidence-based psychological therapies such Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Her priority in therapy is to listen deeply to each individual and work with these models in a personalised way.
