Hannah is a highly experienced psychologist who has developed an interest in women's health over the course of her career, after seeing first hand the impact of hormonal shifts can have on mental health. Seeing the impact of accurate understanding and recognition of women's difficulties, and appropriate treatment, has inspired her to learn more about this topic and integrate an awareness of hormones on mental health for all the women she works with, and to jointly found Tay Wellbeing.
Hannah has worked with adults with mental health difficulties for over a decade, often working with individuals with severe mental health difficulties. She has a particular interest in the impact of the perinatal period, menopause and cyclical hormone related difficulties such as Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD).
She uses her understanding of hormones, the demands and transition throughout women's lives, and provided psychological therapies to support women with a range of emotional difficulties or distress. Hannah has recently completed training in the EMBERS® Menopause-Informed CBT framework at Menopause CBT Clinic®, equipping her with a tailored approach to supporting women through the menopause transition. She also offers EMDR and is an accredited EMDR practitioner.
Hannah's therapeutic style is warm and accommodating, with an ability to gently challenge when needed. She is flexible in her approach according to individual needs and adapting and tailoring therapies has been an essential feature of her approach throughout her career.
