Working as a Clinical Psychologist for a number of years, Nell is passionate about supporting women through their unique mental health challenges, particularly considering hormonal changes, societal pressures and gender norms. Drawing on evidence-based psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy, she works collaboratively to develop a shared understanding of difficulties and support skill development to effectively manage transitions and adjustments within a woman’s life course (e.g. fertility, motherhood, menopause, loss bereavement).
With over 10 years working therapeutically in mental health she has seen first-hand the impact of trauma and role of resilience in women’s wellbeing, and developed an interest and area of expertise in women's mental health. Equally, she is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals as she has observed how women’s needs are often overlooked or misunderstood in society, which often negatively impacts on wellbeing. Nell works solely online and is skilled at creating a compassionate and safe space for women to share their personal journey. She sees the importance of a containing therapy environment and nurturing therapeutic relationship, and how both these factors are pivotal in achieving collaborative therapy goals.
